Thanks to Beatriz Rodriguez de la Flor (in Spain), Maria Eugenia Solé and Sandra Untrojb (in Argentina), yesterday we ran and video recorded an online mediation in Spanish via Skype of an International dispute, between one company in Argentina and one in Spain.
In our Virtual Mediation Lab, we have 3 options for running and video recording International simulations, in order to promote mediation and Online Dispute Resolution around the world.
Option 1 – All participants speak the same language (for example, Spanish as we did yesterday), and they can be anywhere in the world (for example, in Spain, Argentina, Venezuela, Mexico, and so on) – as long as they have Skype
Option 2 – The mediator is bilingual (for example he or she speaks fluently Spanish and Russian), and one party speaks Spanish, the other party speaks Russian.
Option 3 – As in option 2, each party speaks a different language (for example, Spanish and Russian); the mediator speaks only one of those languages (for example, Spanish); and a professional translator connected via Skype translates everything from Spanish to Russian and viceversa.
