The UOC Campus for Peace's 4th International Conference on
Conflictology and Peace in Barcelona's Cosmocaixa was held on September 30th and October 1st with the focus on cultural change.
“The aim is to offer a forum for meeting and sharing experiences for
all professionals, experts and specialists working for peace, restorative justice, conflict management, mediation, arbitration and conciliation,” said Vinyamata, the director of Campus for Peace.
During the conference, participants discussed various ways to resolve conflict through non-violent practices of both large and small scale conflicts in a culture of consumerism, violence, and inequalities.
“At the UOC, we know and are convinced that peaceful and intelligent
methods are the best weapons for resolving conflicts, whether large scale – wars –, or small scale – violence in the home or at work, or in communities,” added Vinyamata.
