Global Youth Justice 2010 Training Program to Establish or Enhance a local Teen Court/Youth Court Diversion Program

From the site: This 2010 International Training is designed for those who are interested in establishing or enhancing local Youth Justice/Juvenile Justice diversion program often referred to as youth court, teen court, peer court, student court and youth peer panel.  Individuals relatively new to these youth justice programs and those who have never attended one of these intensive trainings which incorporate best practices will benefit considerably from this training.  Relatively new adult staff working full or part-time in an existing local youth court/teen court should also participate in this training.   At Global Youth Justice we believe in allowing youth to attend these trainings with parental/legal guardian consent and with an adult 18 years or age or older accompanying them for the entire duration of the training.

Also from the site: Topics to be covered include training adult and youth volunteers, offering quality community service programs, mock family intake meetings, implementing operational and administrative procedures, identifying funding and resources opportunities, legal and liability issues, partnerships with MOU’s, program evaluation/satisfaction, juvenile referral sources, implementation/enhancement of programmatic elements (daily, weekly, monthly and yearly) and other operational and administrative aspects.

This training is scheduled to take place from December 7-9, 2010.  For more information visit the site here: http://www.globalyouthjustice.org/Training_and_Events.html
