Musician Daryl Davis is, by his own admission, obsessed with understanding extreme racism: how can he be hated for the colour of his skin by someone who doesn't know him.

In the Love + Radio podcast below, he traces his efforts to come to terms with racism. He discovers that through active listening, the listener paradoxically reveals herself to the speaker leading to openness and responsiveness to the other, what we transformative mediators call recognition.

You'll find the 40 minutes it takes to listen to the podcast very well-spent.
