And this can have a significant impact on how we feel, how we see the world and how we deal with conflict. Marianne Perez de Fransius will share how exposure to so much violence in the media is negatively affecting us as individuals and as social beings and how to break the cycle. Marianne Perez de Fransius is a peace builder and educator. As the founder of Peace is Sexy and the Peace Superheroes, she steeps in peace media and the issues of how violence and conflict are portrayed in the media. Marianne got her Bachelors of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in Washington, DC and her Masters in Peace and Conflict Studies at the European Peace University in Austria. She is currently living in Mozambique where in addition to working on her own projects, she is also training local journalists in Peace Journalism.
