ODR: Theory and Practice (2012) edited by Mohamed Abdel Wahab, Dan Rainey and Ethan Katsh, has been selected to receive CPR Institute's prestigious Annual Book Award. This book, the first comprehensive textbook on ODR, includes chapters by many of the leading innovators, practitioners and thinkers in the field. The book includes separate chapters on each of the leading processes (e-arbitration, e-mediation, etc.), as well as chapters adressing central themes in ODR (ODR and Interpersonal Trust, ODR and Culture, etc.). Finally, it includes chapters detailing ODR activity around the world, broken down by continent.
I view this award as being a powerful sign of the mainstreaming of online dispute resolution within the world of dispute resolution practice. The authors have certainly led the way in bringing that mainstreaming about. Congratulations!
