John Turley: Political Strategist and Campaign Fundraiser

I am in my first week as the Director of Fund Raising and Campaign Strategy for Natalie Mosher, the Democratic candidate for Congresswoman for the 11th Congressional District in SE Michigan. She is a grass roots champion for the diverse groups, special interests and issues that we have studied throughout our entire mediation and ADR program.

As a direct result of our coursework, I am more conversant with voter issues. This includes a keener awareness of ethnic, cultural, gender and global interests. I am using my coaching, consulting, negotiating, ODR and ADR specialist as ally skills every day. Collaborative teamwork with the staff and volunteers is the key to making things happen quickly and efficiently. I have also stepped in to mediate some minor disputes with the PACs.

Yesterday, a prominent figure in the Detroit Asian community asked our candidate about her position on the NYC mosque. He coached us as we approach the various and diverse voter caucuses that we will meet with at the party convention this weekend in Detroit.

The Creighton program is a great preparation for political work. I came to appreciate our studies as I stepped into the real world of politics rather unexpectedly. I was hired last Friday. Check out our candidate on www.mosherforcongress.com.

Natalie's key initiatives include:

I am thrilled to work for this dynamic champion of the under represented, the neglected and the emerging ethnic and diverse groups in SE Michigan. If you wish to support Natalie, please do not hesitate to contribute to the campaign by visiting her website at: www.mosherforcongress.com
