Cops Called To Sto-Rox High School When Mediation Goes Bad
Shouting, Pushing Breaks Out During Group Session With 12 Girls
STOWE TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Police officers were called to Sto-Rox High School after reports of a large disturbance and a fight involving female students Tuesday morning.
"I talked to some of these gals and I told them, you know, we look like ladies, let's act like ladies. There's a better way of resolving these feuds," McKees Rocks Police Chief Robert Cifrulak said.
Channel 4 Action News' Bob Mayo reported that school officials said at least 12 girls were involved. Police cars from Stowe Township, McKees Rocks, Kennedy Township and the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office responded.
Sto-Rox School District Superintendent Dr. Fran Serenka said it started during a mediation session in the principal's office -- a meeting that was set up because of an earlier incident.
