Advanced Mediator, owner of Professional Mediation Services
What is your ADR experience? (trainings and education)
I have been a mediator since April 2007 and a BBB arbitrator since October 2009. In June, 2012 I was trained as an arbitrator for the National Center for Dispute Resolution. I have done over 500 cases of divorce, labor disputes, landlord/tenant disputes, and civil law suits between both individuals and businesses for the Lubbock County Office of Dispute Resolution in Lubbock, Texas. In addition to the required basic and family training I have completed an additional 165 hours of training in mediation, served as a mentor during training classes for new mediators, and served as a judge for the Board of Barristers at the TTU School of Law competitions. Please see my web site (www.LubbockMediator.com) for information on my private mediation practice mostly doing divorce cases.
What, if any, ADR organizations or groups do you belong to?
The State Bar Of Texas, ADR Section (Not Licensed to Practice law), the National Association for Community Mediation (www.nafcm.org), The Better Business Bureau, and Mediate.com.
What else do you want to tell the ADRhub.com community (what you are up to, what you would like to do in ADR, etc.)
Before mediation training I started as an industrial engineer and cost accountant in a manufacturing plant, moved into sales and marketing in the printing industry, owned a small printing company, then set up a manufacturers representative company covering Texas and New Mexico.
