Profile Information

What is your profession and title?: President of AIA

What is your ADR experience? (trainings and education): Mr. Johan Billiet is a partner of the Brussels office of the law firm De Meester, Ballon, Billiet & Co Lawyers, in short Billiet & Co and heads the firm's practice. He concentrates on commercial law, distribution and franchising, patent and trademark, arbitration, and bankruptcy law. During the period 1985-1991, Mr. Johan Billiet was lecturer in law at the Brussels Business School EHSAL. Currently, he is a member of the "Ligue internationale du droit de la concurrence" (International League of Competition Law) and the "Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Industrielle"(International Association for the Protection of Industrial Property). He is also often appointed as arbitrator and as a board member in corporate governance matters. He registered on the EU list at the Paris Bar in application of the European Directive 98/5/EU of February 16th, 1998.
