Profile Information

What is your profession and title?
Doctoral student, educational psychology and educational technology, Michigan State University
What is your ADR experience? (trainings and education)
After my son was impersonated on Twitter by two high school classmates, I sought restorative justice. School administrators and the parents of the impersonators refused. Now, I am working in my community for the adoption of better school policies that will prevent other families from being hurt as my family was by lack of acceptance of ADR.
What, if any, ADR organizations or groups do you belong to?
None. I do sit on an advisory board looking at diversity-related issues for the Bloomfield Hills School District in suburban Detroit, Michigan. This board is pushing for adoption of restorative practices, among other things. My son's high school is a countywide public magnet school located in this district. Its name is the International Academy.
What are you hoping to get from ADRhub.com
Cyberweek participtation, networking, help with practical advice about how to promote ADR in school policies and how to teach ADR as part of digital citizenship
Do you/your company have a website?

What other ADR related sites do you visit?
Open to leads on this.
What else do you want to tell the ADRhub.com community (what you are up to, what you would like to do in ADR, etc.)
I am looking for advice about how to persuade the families of the boys who impersonated my son to apologize online. Perhaps other schools and families can learn from this situation. The high school is the top-ranked public high school in the state and 9th-ranked in the country. I mention this to highlight that severe problems on social media are everywhere, even among our brightest students. And ADR is the best response to them, in my opinion.
