Position: NVMS is seeking a Training Program Manager to manage training events, workshop administration, specialized training requests and program development. The Program Manager will work with clients seeking training and certifications, and with professional trainers and mediators to create positive and effective training experiences. NVMS has a small office environment that promotes a team oriented work ethic. In addition to everyone’s primary responsibilities, all staff members assist with shared office duties such as answering the phones and greeting clients.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
1. Answer inquiries regarding training workshops and certifications.
2. Register course participants, prepare materials, open training center for workshops and prepare fee reports.
3. Market training workshops via web and print materials.
4. Seek and respond to requests for proposals, assign trainers and coordinate logistics for specialized trainings.
5. Prepare annual training workshop schedule in coordination with trainers.
6. Manage Filemaker training registration database.
7. Maintain training center facility and supplies.
8. Maintain workshop accreditation.
9. Negotiate trainer affiliation agreements and stipends.
10. Partner with volunteer Training Work Group and Executive Director to further develop training program.
11. Supervise intern(s).
12. Manage training center room rentals.
13. Design and Coordinate Monthly Seminars.
Job Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following necessary qualifications combined with two or more of the strongly preferred qualifications.
Necessary Qualifications:
1. undergraduate degree plus 2 years work experience;
2. proficiency with Microsoft Applications;
3. strong communication skills and phone presence;
4. strong organizational skills & attention to detail;
5. patience and good listening skills;
6. customer service orientation;
7. emotional maturity; and
8. adaptability.
Strongly Preferred Qualifications:
1. experience in marketing, outreach;
2. graduate degree in related field;
3. knowledge of mediation/dispute resolution;
4. experience coordinating workshops or events;
5. experience with Filemaker and website editing, social media;
6. experience in program development;
7. experience supervising others; and
8. fluency in Spanish.
Hours: Full time: typically 9-5, with occasional evening/early morning hours for meetings & training programs.
Compensation: $29K-$32K salary per year (dependent upon experience). Benefits include 37 paid days off annually (11 holidays; 12 vacation days; 14 personal days); ability to accrue compensatory leave; monthly payment of $176 toward health insurance premiums; and the opportunity to attend training sessions in dispute resolution skills.
