This past spring, NVMS launched the Susan Shearouse scholarship fundraising drive and in less than a month we reached our fundraising goal, thanks to our generous donors. We are now accepting applications for our upcoming fall training.

NVMS will award one scholarship that will cover the full tuition costs of the Virginia General District Court Certification, as well as tuition assistance scholarships for classes being offered this fall. Applicants will be reviewed for the following criteria:

1. Demonstrated financial need
2. Proven academic aptitude
3. Commitment to using conflict resolution skills for the good of their communities

The application package must include all of the required information and must be submitted by mail, postmarked no later than 5 pm on August 1st to be considered for this fall (Additional scholarship will be available next spring. For these, applications must be submitted by February 15th). Application packets must be addressed to:
