Online Mediation: A New Frontier – 2-Hour Webinar For Pennsylvania Council of Mediators – April 25, 2015

The theme of the 2015 Pennsylvania Council of Mediators (PCM) http://goo.gl/gRwqpy annual conference, which will be held on April 24 and 25, is very interesting – “Expanding Mediation Practice: New Directions & Future Opportunities”.

During their conference, PCM mediators can attend 8 workshops. One of them is titled “Online Mediation – A New Frontier” and will be presented online by Giuseppe Leone, founder of Virtual Mediation Lab. In order to make this workshop as comprehensive and useful as possible, it will consist of 2 parts of one hour each.

The first hour will be a webinar on what online mediation means, how it works, what cases are suitable, the benefits of online mediation, how to integrate online and face-to-face mediation, and how to get appropriate training.

The second part will include a short video clip (recorded in advance) of workshop participants role-playing an online mediation via a video collaboration software called Zoom.us. The role players will then share and discuss their experience with other PCM mediators in the audience – what they liked or did not like, and what surprised them about the experience.
