Practical Technology Tools is an experiential course designed to introduce affordable and accessible online dispute resolution (ODR) technology to the practice of alternative dispute resolution (ADR). Instructors Daniel Rainey and Larry Bridgesmith are world-renowned experts and have taught ADR courses for over a combined 30 years.
Participants will engage in four real-time lectures and discussions over a five-week period, with forums, wikis, directional study, and instructor guidance. Real-time lectures will take place Wednesday nights at 8pm EDT on October 22 & 29 and November 12 &19, 2014. All live classes are recorded for future viewing.

About the instructors:
Dr. Rainey is one of the leading ODR educators and practitioners in the world. Working with the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, he was one of the first instructors to teach a university ODR course, and has since developed graduate level ODR courses for several universities and dispute resolution centers. He has designed ADR and ODR systems for numerous organizations. He is a Fellow of the National Center for Technology and Dispute Resolution, a delegate at the UNCITRAL Working Group III on ODR, co-Editor-In-Chief of the International Journal of Online Dispute Resolution, and co-author and editor of the definitive ODR source book, ODR Theory and Practice.
Dr. Bridgesmith brings more than 30 years of experience in dispute resolution and innovative workplace strategies. He specializes in practical, legal and academic "best practices" in dispute resolution. He was the founding executive director, a senior fellow and an associate professor at the Institute for Conflict Management at Lipscomb University, which provides practical dispute resolution instruction at the graduate level. Larry is the co-founder and Chief Relationship Officer for ERM Solutions, which provides technology tools to assist lawyers in adopting legal project management (LPM) methodologies in their practices. He practices of counsel with Bone McAllester Norton and teaches mediation, negotiation and legal project management at Vanderbilt University School of Law. Larry is a frequent speaker on Law Firm Efficiency and spoke at ReinventLaw in London in 2013.
