Online Adjunct Faculty: Criminology, and Mediation and Conflict Resolution

Position Summary:
The Online Adjunct Faculty member performs duties relating to online instruction including, but not limited to: posting faculty guidance and expectations, participating in classroom
discussion boards, grading assignments and promptly responding to student inquiries. The faculty
member may also act as a practicum supervisor, or thesis or dissertation chairperson or committee
member, as needed. This position reports to the Operations Manager for Academic Affairs. To be
eligible for the position you must be located within the United States and operate from a personal
computer with internet connection.

We are expanding our team to meet the needs of our growing institution and are currently accepting resumes for Online Adjunct Faculty to instruct
courses in the Criminology, and Mediation and Conflict Resolution of our degree programs.

Essential Job Duties:  
* Posting faculty guidance and expectations
* Participating in classroom discussion boards
* Grading assignments and responding to student inquiries
* Providing timely feedback to students' questions and concerns

Additional Job Duties (include but are not limited to):
* Mentor students and act as a practicum supervisor, thesis or dissertation chair or committee member, as needed
* Other duties as required

Requirements and Qualification:
* Hold a minimum of an earned Juris Doctorate from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning in a field related to the course content you
will teach
* For Criminology courses, be a criminologist or an individual with law enforcement and criminal justice system experience.
* For Mediation and Conflict Resolutions courses, have a mediation certificate and 30+ solo mediated cases
* Current or recent experience in the field
* Have an interest in and commitment to, teaching in the online environment
* Prior teaching experience, preferably in the online environment
* Excellent written communication skills
* Proficiency in common internet tools, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
* Prior teaching experience, preferably in the online environment
