The University Ombudsman provides a neutral, informal, confidential, and independent process that facilitates fair and equitable resolutions to issues and concerns that arise between WSU community members, while serving as an information and communication resource, upward feedback channel, advisor, and impartial mediator.
Provides guidance and consultation to all members of the WSU community, particularly the administrative professionals and classified staff, on a broad range of issues and concerns. Also serves as a skilled, experienced, neutral mediator, and consultant. Responsible for providing guidance and assistance on complex, sensitive and difficult issues. Plans and carries out work independently and with minimum supervision, but in consultation with the other ombudsman, while utilizing knowledge of university policies and procedures and regulations. Responsible for maintaining a confidential environment.
This is position is a part-time, 50% FTE, nine (9) month position.
Current WSU employees will be given preference in this recruitment.
