The University of Mississippi is hiring its first Ombudsperson. The position, "serves as a designated neutral or impartial dispute resolution practitioner providing confidential and informal assistance to constituents of the University community, to include graduate assistants, staff, and faculty," and reports to the Office of the Chancellor.
The university faculty have been seeking an Ombuds since at least the Spring of 2012. Applicants must have at least a master’s degree from an accredited college or university a related field or a JD, and at least five years of experience.
