The India Daily News & Analysis reports that the Supreme Court has decided to send a batch of Delhi Judges to teach the art of adopting an ADR mechanism like mediation, to the judges of other states to ensure speedy justice. India has currently some 26 million cases pending in the lower judiciary across the country. Pendency has increased by 148% in the Supreme Copurt and 53% in High Courts in the last 10 years.

Delhi has solved 81% cases through mediation till May 31.
