Georgetown University seeking non tenure track faculty

Georgetown University’s M.A. Program in Conflict Resolution is currently recruiting adjunct, non-tenure track faculty to teach individual courses during the 2011-2012 academic year. Housed in the Department of Government, the Conflict Resolution Program offers an innovative and rigorous curriculum encompassing the core skills and multi-disciplinary knowledge needed to successfully pursue diverse career opportunities related to conflict management and conflict resolution.

Applicants with the following specialties are encouraged to apply:

DEVELOPMENT AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION:  The ideal candidate will have expertise in the theory and practice of conflict sensitive development. Ability to teach students about do no harm, conflict sensitivity, and conflict mainstreaming is preferred.

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION: The ideal candidate will have expertise in theory and practice of project management in international affairs/conflict resolution. Ability to teach skills of program design, budgeting and, related topics is preferred.


EVALUATION AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION:  The ideal candidate will have expertise in relevant theory and practice, as well as the ability to teach students how to develop indicators and baseline data and conduct on-going project monitoring and evaluation activities.

Qualified applicants should have previous teaching experience and an advanced degree.  Applications should include a cover letter, C.V., contact information for three references, and previous teaching evaluations.
