Salary: Salary range is $30,000 - $35,000


THE ORGANIZATION
The Mediation Center of Greater Green Bay is a non-profit, 501 (c) (3), organization. The mission of the Mediation Center is to assist and educate individuals and groups in resolving their disputes peacefully and effectively.

THE POSITION
The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing and running the day-to-day operations of the Mediation Center, including, but not limited to, supervising the mediation processes and the volunteers who fill the role of mediators and support staff.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Court-referred Mediations
o Supervise Court-referred mediations on Tuesday evenings, Wednesday mornings and Thursday mornings
o Supervise eviction mediations on Tuesday afternoons
o Coordinate Court-referred mediations with the Court (intake, dispositions, etc.)
o Prepare cases for mediation
o Consult with the Court for quality control and other practical issues
o Occasionally mediate cases
o Follow up on cases

• Outside Mediations
o Coordinate/perform outreach, advertising, networking
o Conduct intake of cases
o Supervise mediations
o Occasionally mediate cases
o Follow up on cases

• Record Keeping
Keep records of cases mediated, disposition, mediator counts, hours mediated, evaluations, etc.

• Program Development
Work with the Board and other resources for expansion/enhancement of mediation programs (workplace/commercial, elder, other)

• Training and Presentations
o Participate in outreach to raise awareness of Mediation Center and handle PR (to organizations, media, etc.)
o Conduct mediation training
o Mentor mediators

• Finances
o Handle billing and collection for services
o Pay bills
o Handle insurance for Center, phone and internet services
o Relay financial information to payroll services for financial reports and tax reporting

• Fundraising
o Research and write grant requests
o Contact/solicit donors
o Assist Board with organizing/managing fundraising events

• Maintenance
Oversee facilities used by the Center (cleaning, site repairs, computers and printers, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• 2-4 years mediation experience is preferred
• Knowledge of mediation is required
• Capable of conducting comprehensive mediation training
• Good communication skills (good listener, excellent written and oral communication skills)
• Strong leadership skills
• Works in a collaborative style
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Highly ethical/unquestionable integrity
• Excellent organizational skills
• Self motivated
• Good computer skills
