The Center for Conflict Resolution (CCR) is a not-for-profit organization which works with individuals, communities, courts and other institutions to manage and resolve conflict by offering mediation services and training. CCR’s programs are carried out by a full-time staff of 13 and more than 120 volunteer mediators under the direction of a Board of Directors and the Executive Director.
CCR is looking for a collaborative leader and outstanding manager with an understanding of conflict resolution and mediation and proven ability to manage diverse programs and people to serve as Executive Director. In this capacity, s/he will represent CCR externally to the courts, funders, partners and community organizations while maintaining internal communication with volunteers, staff, and the Board of Directors. S/he will manage and be responsible for all areas of the organization, including mediation services, training, volunteers, development, and operations. The Executive Director reports directly to the board of directors.
Successful candidates must be able to multitask, cultivate relationships with diverse groups in the community, commercial, legal, academic and government sectors, as well as have excellent verbal and written communication skills. S/he will be an innovative and strategic thinker who can foster the collaborative translation of a strategic plan into realistic goals and programs. S/he will have significant management experience providing guidance and feedback. Additionally, experience in management and organizational development is necessary. Knowledge of financial planning is preferred.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate or Masters Degree in conflict resolution, communications, non-profit/management or related field, preferable but experience may substitute
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
3. Strong history of management/supervisory experience, preferably in non-profit organizations
4. Experience in mediation is desired
