20-Hour Mediation and Conflict Transformation Skills Training
focusing on Self-Awareness and Third Party Intervention

Mediator self-awareness is crucial to a quality and solid mediation process. For tens of years mediator behavior has been regulated through various ethical codes of conduct. However, the proliferation and success of mediation services all over the world, has encouraged the incorporation of ethical standards in the very core of the practice through the principle of self-awareness.

Knowledge of self allows for control of the process and of personal impulses and tendencies. It also allows for development of emotional intelligence, which fosters flexibility and openness, and eventually creates the premises for success. From the participants' to mediation points of view, mediator self-awareness preserves the integrity, neutrality and privacy of the process.

This 20-hour mediation course will focus on helping you enhance your own self-awareness, so that you can become a better mediator. Our trainers will help you understand your own conflict style and reactivity, so you can also learn ways how to reinforce it or transform it.

Our lead trainer, Louise Phipps Senft, Esq. will guide you through the process and will provide you with real-life role-play opportunities so you can exercise your mediation skills. Our experienced coaches will give you on the spot personalized feedback, so that you can have a very interactive learning experience.

At the end of the training you will be provided with a certificate of completion which qualifies for CLE. The certificate is nationally approved by the Association for Conflict Resolution and satisfies requirements of state entities such as the Maryland Circuit Court and MACRO.
