The international conference, 'From Conflict to Peace: Innovative Approaches to Peacebuilding' will be held at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. on September 8th, 2011. The event will serve as an intellectual gathering of students, faculty, and practitioners in the field of conflict resolution.
As part of the conference, the Master of Arts in Conflict Resolution program at Georgetown University and the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs are sponsoring three competitions: for papers, posters, and photographic essays.
PROPOSALS AND ABSTRACTS ARE DUE MAY 16, 2011; FINAL SUBMISSIONS WILL BE DUE LATER THIS SUMMER. PLEASE SEE THE WEBSITE FOR DETAILED GUIDELINES OF EACH CONTEST.
Prizes for each category (including photo essays):
1st- $500
2nd- $250
3rd-$100
Eligibility:
Proposal submissions for each contest (you can apply to more than one) will be accepted from graduate and advanced undergraduate students currently attending North American universities (or planning to enroll in the fall of 2011). Please note that Georgetown University will be unable to financially assist students presenting at the conference.
