He co-authored the bestselling book,Why Smart People Make Big Money Mistakes and How to Correct Them: Lessons from the Life-Changing Science of Behavioral Economics.Gary will address the cognitive traps we face in making decisions and how we can overcome them.
Panel Discussion: 6:15 PM A panel of mediation experts, include Laverne Berry, entertainment lawyer, and President of the New York Board of Women in Film and Television, Gary Belsky, MSD Honorary Chair; Kenneth Andrichik, Chief Counsel and Director of Mediation and Strategy, FINRA Dispute Resolution; Lela Love, Professor of Law at Cardozo, Director of the Kukin Program for Conflict Resolution and the Cardozo Mediation Clinic; will reflect on what behavioral economics can teach us about decision-making in negotiation and mediation. Panelists will also explore the role that Choice Architecture might have on the future of Alternative Dispute Resolution.
