The University of Oregon Law School offers a two-year Master's Degree program in Conflict and Dispute Resolution. In addition to the graduate course work, the program also offers a selection of courses for undergraduates. This program is uniquely situated to prepare a new generation of scholars, practitioners, and educators to rethink traditional approaches to conflict. Grounded in dispute resolution theory, the program combines broad interdisciplinary training and opportunities for individualized study and skills development. It addresses the wider scope of non-adversarial dispute resolution options and the concepts and skills needed to implement those alternatives. It equips students with the vision, determination and expertise needed to meet today's challenges with new answers and better questions.

The Program maintains a pool of candidates interested in filling adjunct part time teaching positions as needs arise. Adjunct faculty work under the supervision of the Program Director. Positions may be limited duration, one term or multiple terms, with the possibility of renewal based on curriculum needs, funding and performance. Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis and the pool will remain active through December 2011. We seek candidates with a commitment to working effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications
The Program is particularly interested in candidates with practice experience in mediation, arbitration and/or negotiation, cross-cultural conflict resolution, international conflict resolution practice, marriage and family mediation, sports conflict, and organizational conflict resolution.  Candidates must have an advanced degree (JD, M.A./M.S., Ph.D) from an accredited school at the time of their applications and must have proven ability in their fields of expertise. Proven teaching effectiveness will also receive high priority in filling these positions.

To apply, send a current vita and a letter indicating subject matter interests to: Tim Hicks, Director, Conflict and Dispute Resolution Masters Program, School of Law, 1221 University of Oregon, Eugene, OR 97403-1221.
