Job Description: Summary:
The Ombudsman Analyst provides professional and technical support to the Office of the Corporate Ombudsman for case intake as well as projects and programs. The Ombudsman Analyst provides critical assistance in generating and preparing data and data-related reports, performing research, and designing and implementing project plans. The Ombudsman Analyst is also responsible for presenting issues or problems relating to data-tracking and to any other assigned projects and recommends solutions.

Responsibilities:
The Ombudsman Analyst will:
• Manage confidential incoming inquiries to the Corporate Ombudsman assisting employees, managers, customers, contractors, and other Red Cross stakeholders to share or disclose informally issues, concerns, questions or allegations;

• Assist callers and clients with answers to simple inquires and with referrals to appropriate resources, consistent with the instruction and guidance of the Corporate Ombudsman;

• Participate in the development and implementation of strategies for all activities relating to the Office of the Corporate Ombudsman;

• Assist in the creation and/or maintenance of data systems to support business needs;
• Utilize appropriate systems and data to resolve business issues in the most effective and productive manner;

• Assist in daily coordination and execution of departmental activities/projects which support the department goals and objectives, and may include preparing and maintaining project plans, progress reports and other informational materials presented to management;
• Research and analyze case tracking data, identify questions or concerns, and recommend solutions;
• Perform all administrative activities in support of the department, including assisting the Corporate Ombudsman with maintaining his calendar and with processing of travel and purchases for the office;

• Maintain a filing system for data tracking and for other projects or office initiatives as appropriate or as assigned, including agendas, trainings and related memoranda;
• Work closely with the Corporate Ombudsman and Ombudsman staff to generate data for the annual report to Congress, to analyze the data, and to strategize effectively how best to present the data in the annual report.
