Face to Faith: A Speed Dialoguing Event for Young Professionals and Young Adults

Hello!

We at Project Interfaith are trying something new and I'd like to invite you to check it out and share it with the young professionals/young adults in the Omaha, NE metro area that you know (We're defining young adults "Omaha-style": as any adult 40(ish) and under- don't worry, we won't card):

On Tuesday, May 17, at 5:30 pm at The Slowdown (729 North 14th Street), we are holding our first “Face to Faith: A Speed Dialoguing Event for Young Professionals and Young Adults.”

We at Project Interfaith were inspired by the way speed dating has enabled individuals to meet a large number of new people in a short amount of time (isn't it comforting to know all those e-Harmony commercials have been good for something?) so we're going to use the format of speed dating -randomly matching people up to have conversations for brief periods of time-  to spark quick dialogues about religious and cultural identity and diversity.

By doing this, we're hoping to give participants the opportunity to meet other young adults/professionals of diverse religious and cultural identities and to have quick dialogues which hopefully help forge friendships and longer conversations after the initial speed dialogue round.
The speed dialoguing itself will last about an hour and then we're going to hang out for another hour to give people a chance to mingle, pig out on appetizers and to just relax.  Also, I want to be clear: All young adults/professionals are welcome. You do not need to be part of a religious group or tradition to participate.

To make this an even more painless experience, we will have appetizers and there will be a cash bar. And to top it all off, thanks to generous underwriting by The Apogee Group, it doesn't cost anything to participate!

Sound interesting? Please join us! To do so, you must register which you can do here on our website (below is a link as well).

Think this is something young professionals and young adults that you know would be up to doing? Please pass this info on. A flyer is attached.

Thanks for taking a moment to consider this and to share it. We at Project Interfaith so appreciate it!

How did this work out? Will there be another event similar to this one? Any consideration of expanding the topics outside religion and cultural identity?
